Anchor – a seasonal self-care programme for Mums of children with additional support needs - 6th June 10.30am-12pm

£30.00

With – Kate Reynolds-Smith (MotherNatureChild)

Each session uses the current season as an anchor and a guide – to help you ground yourself, care for yourself and remember who you are. Each will give you time to think, supporting you to make decisions, however small, to create positive changes in your life.

- Do you put your needs at the bottom of the pile, making sure everyone else is looked after before you?

- Have you lost your self-confidence and forgotten who you are?

- Are you really tired most days with no emotional capacity for anything extra?

- Have you stopped having time to see friends or a real conversation with your partner that isn’t simply a to-do list?

- Do some days feel hopeless or overwhelming?

- Do you feel misunderstood or judged by other parents who just don’t ‘get it’?

If you relate to any of these, then Anchor – a seasonal self-care programme for Mums of children with additional support needs is for you.

All plants need an anchor, roots - to support them as they grow. Without an anchor they can’t flourish. My programme will support you in finding your own anchor, to feel steadier in who you are and to create the capacity you need to breathe and live your life – as you and as a Mum.

What to expect:

- A warm welcome and a seasonal drink for you to sit down and enjoy (that someone else makes for you!)

- Time to check in with yourself at the beginning and the end

- A gentle, guided anchoring into the current season:

Some prompts to consider as you move around the plot or sit quietly

A simple, seasonal craft to ground yourself further in the moment - something to take home with you as a reminder of the clarity and calm you found during your session at the Plot.

Opportunity for reflection and to notice any shifts in your energy or mood before you head home

*There will be no pressure to speak in the group at these events. The time is yours – for you to have space and think your own thoughts (although there will be opportunity to share and reflect with others if you want to).

The events are led by Kate Reynolds-Smith (MotherNatureChild). Kate is a Mum of a child with additional support needs and a Certified Level 4 Mastercoach. She specialises in supporting Mums of children with additional support needs and has a decade of expertise in therapeutic parenting, low-demand parenting and adoption. As well as being a home-ed Mum, she runs her own coaching business, MotherNatureChild. She enjoys being outdoors as much as possible – gardening or walking in the woods, cold water swimming and watching Gladiators on a Saturday night with her son.

Spaces are limited to eight Mums – as this programme is likely to be very popular, we will run a waiting list in case a space becomes available or to notify you of future dates.

Ticket price: £30 for the full season of 4 workshops - 6th June, 3rd October, 28th November 2026 and 20th February 2027 or £10 for a one-off session.

This programme is in part funded by the National Lottery to make it as accessible to participants as possible - please contact us if you would like to join the session but are unable to do so for financial reasons as we’d love to make it possible for you to join us.

This event is available to Plot 22 members only. If you are not currently a member its free and easy to sign up here
