What to Expect

Whilst each session is a little different, typically we'll start by gathering together over a cup of tea or coffee for introductions and catching up. We'll take a walk around the site and work out what jobs need doing and match these with people’s preferences that day. If lunch is planned, about halfway through the session we prepare and eat a meal, using freshly harvested produce whenever we can. People often take home a bunch of flowers or fresh herbs and if there are fruit and vegetables to spare, they take some of these too.  We have great composting toilet facilities on site and all gardening tools and gloves are provided.

What we ask of you

To ensure everyone can enjoy their time at the Plot, our only requirements are that our members agree to our People Care Guidelines, follow our Way of Being during sessions, and follow a few simple rules:

To keep us all safe we are a NO ALCOHOL site. This means no alcohol is consumed on site or during group visits elsewhere.

There is NO MEAT OR FISH in our meals. If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know in advance of your visit - we can usually accommodate everyone.

As a general rule, Plot 22 is a NO DOGS (or any other pet) space, although where possible we will make exceptions for assistance dogs (please check first).

Because Plot 22 is located on a larger allotment site, it is important for us to CONSIDER OUR NEIGHBOURS - for example, by not blocking access to the communal car park.

On family friendly days CHILDREN (especially those under five) NEED TO BE SUPERVISED CLOSELY BY A PARENT OR CARER AT ALL TIMES.

If you’d like to pay us a visit please complete an application form by clicking the link below.
