Winter Stews!

This winter we’ve mostly been eating stew!

We did have a stir fry one week and veggie bangers and mash featured another, but by popular request we’ve made a huge pot of piping hot veg stew every week since about October. Several people have made it again at home for friends and family. How’s that for a recommendation!

Here’s what we’ve been putting in – mostly!:

Onions
Leeks
Potatoes
Carrots
Parsnips
Sweet Potatoes
Celery (sometimes) Kale (sometimes)
Red Lentils or Pearl Barley
Vegetable Stock and seasoning

Additional flavour variations:
Paprika and coriander
Cumin and ginger
Boison soft cheese (yum - thanks Zoe!)
