Midwinter Solstice Fire Gathering

A little something to say about our fire gathering:

“A group of four women gathered to mark the Winter Solstice with a sacred fire ceremony. We contemplated all that we wished to offer to the fire in the form of beliefs that no longer serve us and wrote these on a slip of paper. Next we recorded our intentions for the coming year 2012 on a second slip of paper. Each of us in turn released our papers into the fire and mindfully watched them burn in the flames now glowing violet, orange and pink. Thank you to the Fire Spirits, the Salamanders and the collective harmony and love within our group.”
