Conway Court Children's Centre, Planting, Play & Pizza!

Young children and parents from Conway Court Children’s Centre have been visiting us this summer. The gardening group brought along the seedlings they had planted and cared for. Carefully they planted them out in our raised beds. At each session everyone had an opportunity to make their own pizza and watch it cook in the clay oven. Then everyone helped wash up the dishes! By the third visit, the spinach and carrots they had planted as tiny seedlings were now big enough to be harvested and taken home.

So far during the five sessions everyone has been very busy harvesting, filling pots and sowing seeds, making mud soup, finding flowers and exploring for mini-beasts!
