Great enthusiasm was sparked at the Autumn picnic to get digging. So we arranged a work day the following Thursday to clear the vegetable beds in readiness for laying out new paths and sowing seeds for next years bounty. A team of five arrived, we plied with tea, and then the plot was transformed! A fine day was had.
Lunch was made on the fire — sausages of course — and the last of the spinach became sag bahjis. All washed down with pear juice — plentiful at PLOT 22 thanks to Andy’s hard work regularly pressing and pasteurising this autumn’s fruits.
