About Grow & Play

Grow & Play has evolved from our popular Nature's Nippers project for parents and pre-schoolers. This year, thanks to funding from The Fonthill Foundation and The Nineveh Trust we will be hosting these 2 hour facilitated sessions monthly between April and October 2019. Louise is working alongside a new co-facilitator and support volunteer and together you’ll be exploring the garden, looking for wildlife and helping to plant, water, harvest and taste fresh fruit and vegetables. Each session will have a seasonal focus and there will be plenty of opportunity for free play. Watch a short video for a flavour of what to expect and check out photos from our previous sessions.

Sessions are 10am - 12noon every 2nd Wednesday of the month from April - September 2019:

10 April, 8 May, 12 June, 10 July, 14 August, 11 September, with autumnal special on Wednesday 30th October.

Each session runs as a drop-in although booking is essential as places are limited. All are welcome, but this year we are keen that places go to those who don’t have access to their own garden. Scroll down for how to join.

Places are FREE. A suggested a donation of £3 is welcome.

Update: April is now fully booked and so we’ve started a waiting list for last minute cancellations.
